Overlays reference

Overlays draw directly on the price chart, sharing the candles’ price scale. Nocterm ships ten: a set of moving averages, volatility bands, channels, and trend-following tools. Each carries its own parameters, editable from its legend chip’s settings gear.

Because overlays share the price scale, they read against the candles directly - a moving average that price rides, bands that contain it, a trend line that flips with direction. The defaults below are sensible starting points; every parameter is adjustable from the indicator’s settings gear.

  1. Open the Indicators menu and add an overlay from the Overlays group.

  2. It draws on the price chart. Open its legend chip gear to set the parameters listed below.
